Carly's Page
Many forces have shaped me into the person I am today. The ten forces that have done so are my parents, my friends, my boyfriend, work, my brother, my Grammy Pop, my 5th grade teacher, yearbook class, music, and television.
My family has guided me through all the good times and the bad times, they have been my main support through my whole life. I'm closest to my mom and she has taught me to just be myself and love life. My dad I'm not as close to him as my mom, but he has taught me that its ok to make mistakes and has supported me through all my desicions. My parents have shaped my morals and my desicions I've made my entire life.
Aubrey Lindner and Alexis Martin have been my two best friends since sixth grade and have dealt with all my crap. They don't judge me for who I am or what I do, they always have my back when times get rough. My personality reflects their personality. Even though we don't agree on everything, we still love each other no matter what and they've basically made me into the person I am today.
Work has shown me responsibility. It has made me grow up more than I expected it to. For the most part I enjoy working, but on the occasion, work can get annoying. Juggling school work and work, gets tough sometimes, but has taught me how to manage time for school work. Work has made more focused and pushed me to make better desicions for the future.
My brother Jordan is driven and he's a great person to learn from. We have our fights, but it always blows over and everything's back to normal. He has given me support when others haven't, he has shown me to take care of things that matter most, and most importantly he has taught me to love myself.
My Grammy Pop, my grandpa, passed away in 2005, but he was so special to me. He taught me to live everyday that I could to the fullest. I remeber he would come over every saturday and have coffee with my mom, he would always have the biggest smile on his face when I would come running down the steps to give him a big hug. He never complained about anything and never wanted to be a burden to anyone. He was very respectable, strong and at points vunerable. He always knew what to say. The funny thing is that he always smelled so good, and I think that's the reason why I always like to smell goood!
My 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Siford, always encouraged me to be my best. She never judged me, she never doubted my abilities, and was always there to help me. She always gave the best advice. She taught me to encourage and help others, not to sit around and not doing anything about it.
Yearbook class has made me more outgoing and a stronger person. Being in Yearbook 2, has made me realize that I can be a leader instead of a follower, without having all the power to myself. This class has been a great adventure for me.
Music is what I'm all about. It always helps me when I'm feeling down or im happy or if im mad. Music has given me comfort. It's something I can look forward to no matter my mood.
Last, but not least is television. My favorite tv show is Spongebob Squarepants, it may be one of the most mind numbing shows ever, but it has taught me to laugh at myself, rather than judge myself for being me. Television is another one of my comfort zones. It helps with whatever mood im in.
These ten forces have shaped my life and my what makes me, me.

Carly,
I think it is great that you are so close to your family, and how they support you through everything that you do. I know I have a very supportive family and I am glad that other people have good family values as well. I also agree with your view of Spongebob Squarepants, and how it may be a very cheesy show, it is quite entertaining and can brighten your day.

Carly,
I too remember our fifth grade teacher. Looking back she is by far my favorite teacher. She was so supportive in every way and understood if you were having a bad day and do anything to brighten it up. I also agree with the impact siblings and boyfriends/girlfriends can have on your life. They are the people you go to for everything and can trust with anything.

Carly,
From knowing you as a good friend i know most of those things mean the absolute world to you. You made them very clear in your paragraph and i could feel your emotion towards each person or thing that shaped you. I also got to see some other things that impacted you that i didnt know about and understood how important they were to you from reading your paragraph.

Carly,
Our forces are similar especially with family and friends because those are the people that shaped us to be who we are today. I also agree with yearbook. It is making us both become the leaders we didn't know we could be and we are learning a lot that will help us in our futures.

Carly,
I think that it truly is amazing that you and Anthony have stayed together as long as you have and that he is always there for you. I can relate on some level, but still I am happy to hear that you guys are still so strong together. Also I agree that music is a great force that can shape peoples lives because I know that music brightens up my day, every day!
